Horizontal Recycling Balers
Industrial Recycling Equipment for Green Initiatives
Horizontal balers are great machines for clients of Complete Recycling who have a higher volume of recyclables than a vertical baler can efficiently process. Because horizontal balers have the capacity for large batches of material, they tend to have more features that automate the process, depending on the model. And they can take up significantly more space. There are three types of commonly used horizontal balers: closed-door manual-tie horizontal balers, open-end automatic tie horizontal balers and two-ram horizontal balers.
Closed-Door Manual-Tie Horizontal Baler
When compared to other types of balers, the closed-door manual-tie baler is the most simple of its kind. This equipment has a hopper (vicinity where materials are fed) that takes in recyclables that are either supplied by hand or come in from a recycling conveyor.
This type of industrial baler detects when enough materials have been loaded into the machine and begins the compression cycle. More material can then be added until the machine senses that a sufficient bale has been formed, density wise. The density is determined by a setting programmed into the machine per the user’s criteria. Once the full bale is formed, it’s ready to be manually tied by a worker.
Depending on the type of material processed, some companies will add an accessory piece of equipment such as an industrial shredder to their recycling equipment solutions. Shredders can be used to process material further before baling. Complete Recycling can educate your company one of the ideal type of equipment for your facility.
Open-End Automatic-Tie Horizontal Baler
The open-end auto-tie horizontal baler is ideal for Complete Recycling clients that have a heftier load of recyclable material. This type of baler allows for a continuous feed of materials to be processed for recycling. The recyclables can be fed through the hopper by a conveyor belt or by hand. But as the name implies, it’s an open-ended machine, which allows materials to be baled and automatically tied by the machine in one fell swoop.
Because this is a more refined piece of equipment than the basic closed-door manual-tie horizontal baler, its price point is higher. But, it’s important to weigh the potential costs with the benefits. The auto-tie feature can tie the bale in seconds. This can save your internal resources and allow your staff to focus on other things. And some of these models have an auto-clean function that helps with the maintenance of the machine.
Complete Recycling works with our clients to ensure they are educated on the most efficient piece of baling equipment for their price point. And with our equipment financing options, you can be outfitted with the balers you need, right now.
Two-Ram Horizontal Balers
These types of balers are ideal for clients of Complete Recycling who have all different types of byproduct recyclable materials. And those who have recyclables on a larger scale than what the other equipment could reasonably handle.
Two-ram horizontal balers are equipped for handling:
The two-ram horizontal baler can handle a large load of material at once with no need for a manual operator. Oftentimes, clients that use this type of machine complement it with a conveyer belt for maximum efficacy. This is because the two-ram horizontal baler has a cutting component that shreds materials during the baling process.
As the name suggests, this equipment has two rams. One ram works to bale the material and the other ejects the bale. The two-ram horizontal baler has an automatic tying system as well, so from start to finish, this machine frees your workers to focus on other things.
Because this is a more complicated baler than the other types, maintenance and operating costs can be higher. Complete Recycling can analyze your recycling needs, potential workload and costs/benefits of any type of baler. This ensures you’re best equipped with the right machinery for the job.
Aside from horizontal balers, Complete Recycling offers a variety of vertical balers for various recycling and space-saving needs through our trusted equipment suppliers.
